This package has been traditionally used to package candy, gift items, clothing, stationery, writing instruments and many other products.

There is a wide range of decorative papers and foils available to cover the recycled paperboard. Coverings may also be custom printed or hot stamped.

Rigid boxes may have hinged lids, full or partial telescope lids or may just be a tray that fits a folding carton sleeve. There are many different configurations.

Rigid boxes may also be combined with die cut platforms and may even be partnered with folding cartons to produce a particular effect or just to save cost.
